How do you perform at your best in an interview? Part 6
August 11, 2008
To address the second part of the puzzle, you need to work on feeling good about your self. Effectively you want to give yourself a mental pat on the back. The way to do this is simple. Imagine the feelings you feel when you are very happy or that feeling of achievement when you are really proud of something you have accomplished.
These positive emotions are easy to create simply by thinking about them. After you get up in the morning, simply feel good about yourself. You can do this at odd times during the day. If you catch yourself having really negative thoughts, just turn it around and dwell on something more positive and dial up these pleasant emotions.
You have to practice these exercises regularly, but they can change your outlook on life in a short space of time.
